I woke up feeling much better today emotionally and physically. Having a day of rest yesterday really helped me. My GI system is feeling better although I’m still a little gassy. The weather is beautiful here today with a slight chill early in the morning and then lots of sunshine all day. Walking the dogs this morning was very nice. I also got to do yoga so my day was off to a good start.
I can’t believe that I’m on day 41 of this plan already. Sometimes it feels like forever and sometimes it feels like I just started. The days when I feel well I forget that I’m still in the process of healing until a day or moment when I don’t feel well.
I’ve really noticed how my GI pain effects my mood and energy levels. I am working very hard to remember that even if I have pain it’s temporary and I’m taking steps to improve my health. It’s a little frustrating when I’ve been at improving my health for over a year and a half and still have a lot of work to do. I have to remember that it’s taken a long time, probably 30 years or more for my body to have ended up where it is and that it’s gonna take time to heal. This is one of the reasons I’m fighting so hard for my sons health. I don’t want him to accumulate all of the things that I have. We share similar genetic challenges so I will do all that’s in my power to help him.
I taught a fun little nutrition class to a group of 3rd and 4th graders this afternoon. I was able to meditate for 30 minutes before going which helped with my energy which usually dips in the afternoon. It was fun and reminded me of how I can have an impact on people with education. Having a purpose helps keep me going on. By dinner I was feeling tired so spent the rest of the evening on the couch watching TV with my hubby. It was a good day.
