It’s Day 30 today!!!Wow! I can’t say that it was all easy but looking back it seems like it went fast and it wasn’t as hard as it might have seemed it would be. If you’re contemplating getting started, just do it. Take it one day at a time and before you know it 30 days will have passed and you may feel even a little bit better like I do.
I had a hard time sleeping again and woke up around 2:30. I’m not sure if I fell back to sleep or not but I got out of bed at 5:00 to get ready to walk dogs. It was cool this morning at 63 degrees so felt nice to wear long pants and long sleeve shirt. Fall in Las Vegas is beautiful.
I had to go to lab today to be a pin cushion again. More bloodwork. I’m so getting tired of that but it’s part of figuring things out. I got some good news in regards to meds tho. My local functional medicine doctor can prescribe my injectable methyl B vitamins for almost a third of what I was paying before. Score! Between supplements, meds, yoga, etc, managing my health costs a lot of money. To me it’s well worth it but it’s always nice to save money.
Green beans seem to be sitting well. No GI issues related to them. It feels like I have more foods to choose from although I find that I’m missing something creamy and sweet. The squash works but I’d really like a smoothie type food. Hopefully I’ll be adding coconut milk in the next couple of weeks to use for a smoothie base.
I had a massage today too which I highly recommend. Many people view massage as a luxury but it’s a necessity. It helps in so many ways both physically and mentally. I suggest finding somebody you like and going to them regularly so they get familiar with your body. They’ll know what you need and get you to a place where your body is neutral. This process can take a few months and sometimes be uncomfortable as your body gets used to being where it should be but it’s well worth it. Maintenance is a lot easier to keep so pain is minimized.
I used to get massages once a week because my body was so out of whack. Now I get them monthly although if you can get them weekly I think it’s incredibly nurturing and healing so do it.
