I didn’t feel well this morning. Belly feels really bloated and weight was up a couple of pounds today. I weigh myself to keep track of changes and if I start to retain water and feel swollen. That happened a couple of months ago where I gained about 5 lbs without changing what I was eating. It was a side effect of some supplements I started taking.
Now that I have this kidney thing to figure out I want to keep an eye on it. Feeling really sluggish and GI system is uncomfortable. I wonder if it’s because I ate a lot of foods that were high fat yesterday. I haven’t been eating much fat because the foods I am eating aren’t high in fat to be easy on the digestive system. I haven’t gotten to the phase on the SCD where I can add oil or avocadoes yet.
I kept it to the lighter side with food today and I ended up eating 2 bananas cuz they felt good. I went to the kidney doctor today. Didn’t get any answers but was told to that I needed to take another test to see if there was any blockage. I spent 2 hours at the doctors office for a whole lot of nothing. So now I will have to wait to get next test for a possible answer.
Tomorrow would be a new food day but because I’m not feeling good I think I may hold off on it. I’m thinking the next food is going to be pumpkin instead of green beans just because it seems like pumpkin is going to be easier to digest.
Doing yoga this afternoon was helpful to relieve my discomfort. I made another batch of chicken soup to eat because it feels so soothing on my system. I’ve been eating chicken almost every day even though you’re supposed to rotate foods every 4 days. It is the easiest for me to digest and the soup tastes sooooo good. I also made some more applesauce even though I want to limit fruits. Again, it’s easy to digest and feels good going down so I’m going to be kind to myself.
I ended up taking some baking soda after dinner because I thought that maybe 7 Betaine HCL was too much and that was causing the pain. It wasn’t the same burning I had had when I originally did the test where I thought 2 pills was my dose but the baking soda definitely helped relieve some of the scraping pain.
Poops have been loose but not diarrhea which is a good sign. If I’m still feeling this way I may cut out the colostrum and see if that helps. There are so many variables to keep track of even when you eliminate so many things. I still know it’s worth it though.
Pre breakfast-2 tbsp collagen and colostrum
Breakfast-tuna and butternut squash
Lunch-tuna, butternut squash and banana
Dinner-chicken, carrots and butternut squash
