I woke up again at 2:00 but was able to go back to sleep till 5:00. I couldn’t walk dogs today because I had to go to get lab work for my son and myself. They are doing more extensive test for Lyme disease. I had to do a lot of driving today to the doctor, back to my son’s school then off to work.
I could have easily gotten overwhelmed thinking about what I had to do today but I decided to just breathe and take it moment by moment. This strategy really paid off as I didn’t get physically wound up and the day wasn’t as stressful as I had anticipated.
I was able to get work done, do yoga and get some cooking done. And I had time to relax with my hubby which is important to my well being. And my GI tract is feeling good again. Not feeling my GI tract is unusual for me but it feels so good. Now I know how people without GI issues feel which is a feeling I like.
My energy level is also better. I’m not ready to run a marathon, nor would I want to, but I’m able to get through the day without needing a nap. That’s huge for me considering a couple of weeks ago I couldn’t hold a conversation after a certain time in the day without taking a nap.
I believe that all of the changes that I’ve made, especially the diet, are really starting to make a lasting difference. I need to remember that I will have difficult days but it doesn’t mean that I’m back sliding or that things aren’t working. Things just fluctuate. And I must remember that I can’t push it. I must take it easy otherwise I’ll end up back where I was. I am so full of HOPE today.
Today was add a new food day too. I decided to add pureed cucumbers. It doesn’t sound that appetizing and it wasn’t but it worked. They seemed to sit well too.
